Safe Together Workshop

Spend two hours in a safe and inclusive environment learning how to make effective self-defense techniques work naturally with your body. All bodies and all orientations are welcomed, and no prior skill or experience is required. This workshop is centered on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community; allies and friends are also welcomed. ADA Accessible.

Political Prisoner Letter Writing

Join Always Here Bookstore and Portland Anarchist Black Cross for a political prisoner letter writing event every 1st Sunday of the month from 4-6pm, starting October 5th. Prisoners are the compass of our struggle - join us in connecting and fighting alongside our comrades inside. No letter writing experience necessary, materials will be provided. Please wear a mask - we’ll have extras! Air purifier present. Smooth and flat ground, ramps & lifts (ADA compliant), fully lit, no flashing lights.

Announcing a second weekly Portland class, starting this Sunday April 13th (2pm) at SouthWest Portland Martial Arts! This is in addition to our Friday night classes at Unicorn Jiu Jitsu in SE. A huge thank you to both of our hosts unicornjiujitsupdx and now swpdx_martial_arts for providing us with space to work & material support for LGBTQ community and the trans athletes among us.

Dig through your pantry and find all the things you’re maybe actually not going to eat, but could be enjoyed by someone else!! Bring by your extra canned and dry foods, pet food, tupperware/food containers, and seeds; Take home what you need! Please make sure all foodstuffs come fully enclosed so they can get to their new home safely. Any extra items at the end of the swap will be donated to thepeoplesstorepdx, a local mutual aid group!
